The album page is headed "end of 1920" but the vegetable harvest comes in October for root crops and in December for animal crops.
The back of this photo says "Bruce and Glenn harvesting their onion crop," which sort of implies that they planted and will profit from the onions. Looks as though they're about halfway through.
This photo says "John Henderson and Glenn Strachan with moose they shot in Duck Mountains. Henderson camera." Glenn is standing. Someone else will have to identify the guns, but a person needs a pretty powerful rifle for a moose. Not having a freezer, these folks were in the habit of canning their moose meat, which meant stews instead of roasts and steaks. Moose meat is excellent, at least every time I've eaten it, I've found it succulent and tasty.
